General Nursing Midwifery

GNM referred as General Nursing and Midwifery it deals with the education of nurses in general health care, nursing, and midwifery. It is a 3 years long Diploma program. Academic program is 3 years long and 6 months are dedicated towards internship. Internship is mandatory. This programme will boost you in career prospects. After completing this course, successful candidates may register themselves as registered nurse or midwife with state nurse registration council.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Eligibility criteria laid down by the Indian Nursing Council in the "syllabus and regulation of Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery" revised 2015 of page 24 is to be followed as it is. There is no upper age limit.
  • Additional guidelines formulated in Principal's meeting are as follows:- - List of the subjects to be considered for admission are given below. Any best four subjects from the list given below are to be considered for calculation of aggregate percentage.

  • The candidate must have passed English at 10+2 level by the concerned examination board/qualifying board.
Duration Of Study

There will be two Examinations every year. One Annual examination in August and supplementary examination in February. Theory examination will be held in the identified centres and practical examination will be held in the clinical area of respective institutions. Examinations will be held both in the morning and the after noon sessions.
